Zero Gravity Design provided interior design consultancy to Overbury for Arup’s 35,950 sq ft office at 11 & 12 Wellington Place, Leeds. Designed for around 500 people, the workplace brings inclusion, flexibility and material reuse into the everyday experience of the office.

Arup wanted an environment that reflected its values and accommodated different ways of working. Collaboration areas sit alongside quiet rooms, adjustable lighting and space for private reflection, giving people a range of settings for shared and individual activity.

A timber staircase connects the two floors and provides a clear point of orientation. Reuse also shaped the wider project: Arup reports that 60% of existing furniture was reclaimed for the new workplace. These decisions connect interior planning with practical choices about materials and resources.
