Certas Energy’s 12,500 sq ft workplace in Birchwood, Warrington, was designed around a 120-person team and a mix of working patterns. Zero Gravity Design contributed interior design, with Overbury delivering the fit-out.

The brief called for settings that could accommodate concentration, collaboration and social use within a consistent workplace identity. A central collaboration hub connects these activities, while the kitchen and breakout space can also accommodate town-hall gatherings, supported by its layout and media wall.

Natural textures, earthy colours and landscape graphics give the interior its character. The wider project incorporated furniture selected for recycled-material content, with QR codes linking to product sustainability information. Materials and furniture therefore form part of both the visual experience and the project’s practical specification decisions.
