From concept to construction: technical workplace design in Manchester
Zero Gravity Design provided technical interior design and delivery support for a 20,000 sq ft Manchester workplace for a confidential financial-services organisation. Working with Ultimate Group and the wider project team, our role was to develop an existing concept into coordinated information for construction.
The workplace combines office accommodation with meeting, collaboration and breakout spaces. The brief for ZGD centred on maintaining the agreed design intent while resolving the details and interfaces needed by the fit-out team.
Materials, junctions and the relationship between interior elements were considered together. Technical information connected the visual proposal with construction requirements, supporting the contractor as the scheme progressed through delivery and helping the wider team maintain a consistent interior approach.
