Working with MediaCity and Landsec, Zero Gravity Design reimagined an 8,200 sq ft office floor at Blue Tower as a flexible workplace with a clearer leasing proposition. Set on the 12th floor in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, the scheme connects the landlord’s commercial objectives with the experience of the people who would use the space.

The brief was to move a dated interior towards a workplace that prospective tenants could understand and imagine occupying. Our approach uses the building’s daylight, views and open floorplate to create a calm but characterful setting, with a choice of places for focused work, informal meetings and team collaboration.

Full-height glazing shapes the layout and brings views across the Quays into the working day. Soft blush, warm terracotta and muted green give the floor its identity, layered with natural textures and loose furniture. These elements define different activities without making the plan rigid, allowing work settings and shared spaces to respond to changing occupier needs.
