Wellness By Design

Zero Gravity Design was appointed to reimagine a new flagship wellness and treatment facility — a space that would move beyond the traditional clinical aesthetic and embody calm, trust, and sophistication.

The goal was to create an environment that felt restorative from the moment you entered — a holistic experience merging wellbeing, precision, and design beauty, engaging all five senses.

This project sought to redefine what a wellness space could be: not just a place for treatment, but a sanctuary that supports emotional, physical, and sensory balance.

The concept reimagines the modern wellness journey through the lens of the senses — sight, sound, scent, touch, and light.
Every detail was crafted to evoke a human response: the glow of light against curved plaster, the texture of warm timber beneath the hand, the scent of natural botanicals drifting through air.

The design moves in rhythm with the day, evolving from bright, energised mornings into a soft, golden calm by night — creating a feeling of quiet transformation.

The Design

  • Reception & Welcome: A sculpted, light-filled entry space — curved forms, soft shadows, and natural planting offer an instant sense of calm on arrival.

  • Treatment & Therapy Suites: Cocooned rooms defined by tactile surfaces, diffused lighting, and acoustic warmth — crafted for privacy and deep rest.

  • Meditation & Yoga Studio: The emotional heart of the project, anchored by a softly illuminated circular wall feature symbolising balance and renewal.

  • Corridor & Transition Zones: Timber-lined pathways guide guests through their journey, enhanced by gentle soundscapes and the scent of calming essential oils.

The Experience:

Every sense is activated.

  • Sight: Balanced lighting and tonal harmony create visual stillness.

  • Sound: Quiet acoustics and subtle ambient tones guide the flow.

  • Scent: Natural aromatics promote relaxation and clarity.

  • Touch: Textured materials connect people physically to the space.

  • Light: A slow transition from day to night mirrors the body’s own rhythm.

The result is a wellness environment that feels alive, sensory, and deeply human — a space designed to heal through atmosphere, not instruction.
