Zero Gravity Design created the interior architecture and design for a private manor house in Cheshire. The completed work focused on the arrival sequence and principal living spaces, connecting the building’s period character with the way its owners use their home.

The brief called for a lighter, more connected interior with a lasting foundation of materials and lighting. Ground-floor planning considers the relationship between the main rooms, balancing the presence of the existing architecture with a more fluid everyday experience.

Warm timber, stone tones and aged metal accents establish the palette. Layered lighting gives the entrance and living spaces greater definition, while restrained architectural finishes allow furniture, artwork and textiles to bring character. Contemporary detailing links the rooms without making them uniform.
