Developed for Landsec, EVOLVE is Zero Gravity Design’s 16,000 sq ft workplace concept at MediaCity, Salford. The scheme supports the landlord’s leasing strategy by showing prospective occupiers how an office floor could accommodate work, collaboration, social use and events within a distinctive environment.

The ambition was to make the occupier experience visible at concept stage. The design brings the floorplate to life through a sequence of settings with different purposes and levels of activity, reflecting MediaCity’s creative context.

Curved forms guide circulation, while layered lighting and reflective materials give the shared spaces depth. Quieter settings use softer finishes and more restrained details. Planting and tactile materials connect the different areas, with furniture and spatial planning considered together so the workplace can adapt without losing its identity.
