White Tower Content Studio: designing a home for creators at MediaCity
Zero Gravity Design developed the interior design for Content Studio at White Tower, MediaCity, Salford. The 8,400 sq ft facility brings production spaces and shared workspace together, connecting the specialist requirements of content creation with the working day around it.
The brief recognised that making content involves preparation, discussion and desk-based work alongside filming or recording. Light and production studios sit with audio and podcast facilities and enterprise coworking, giving different stages of the creative process a place within one environment.
An industrial material base is balanced with warm timber, acoustic fabrics and softer lighting. Furniture and finishes connect the shared work areas with the production spaces, creating a consistent identity across the facility. The podcast studio forms a specialist part of this wider project and is explored in a separate case study.
